According to The Hollywood Reporter, Atlanta itself was nominated for the Emmy for a Comedy Series. Donald Glover himself nabbed the Emmy nomination for Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for his role as Earn in the show, Brian Tyree Henry, who plays Glover’s cousin Alfred (a.k.a. Paper Boi) was nominated for Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series, and Zazie Beets, who plays Van, Earn’s co-parent and somewhat-girlfriend, was nominated for Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.
