According to The Hollywood Reporter, Atlanta itself was nominated for the Emmy for a Comedy Series. Donald Glover himself nabbed the Emmy nomination for Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for his role as Earn in the show, Brian Tyree Henry, who plays Glover’s cousin Alfred (a.k.a. Paper Boi) was nominated for Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series, and Zazie Beets, who plays Van, Earn’s co-parent and somewhat-girlfriend, was nominated for Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.
The 2018 Golden Globe Awards will kick off on Sunday, Sept. 17, at the Microsoft Theater in downtown Los Angeles. Colin Jost and Michael Che of Saturday Night Live will host the evening’s festivities.
