Backed by young musicians from the Atlanta Music Project, T.I. performed three of his biggest songs, “Rubberband Man,” “What You Know,” and “Live Your Life.”
T.I.’s NPR Tiny Desk performance came through with verses, choruses, and monologues containing wisdom from the veteran emcee. T.I. was backed by the Atlanta Music Project students’ instrumentation. This program in Atlanta provides free music education to at-risk youth.
“You are never defined by your environment unless you allow yourself to be,” T.I. said to the students towards the end of the performance. “You are able to do anything in the world you want to do in life, you know what I’m saying? Don’t ever let nobody tell you what you can accomplish. The only thing between you and your dreams is your effort.”
