Cardi B took home the trophy for Hip-Hop Artist of the Year at the 2019 iHeartRadio Music Awards.
Cardi beat out Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Post Malone and Travis Scott for the award.
Cardi set the tone for 2018 by dropping off Invasion of Privacy, a breakout debut album that included very commercial-friendly music. Last month, that LP won Cardi a Grammy for Best Rap Album at the 2019 Grammy Awards. Now that Cardi has a new LP on the way, she could possibly repeat the accomplishment next year.
Congrats Cardi. Checkout Cardi’s acceptance speech.
