The 2019 North Carolina Music Hall of Fame inductees were announced in Kannapolis. Susi Hamilton, N.C. Secretary of Natural and Cultural Resources announced this year’s inductees.
The 2019 North Carolina Music Hall of Fame inductees include Grammy award-winning producer and lecturer 9th Wonder (Winston-Salem); producer, musician and songwriter Mitch Easter (Winston-Salem); Grammy award-winning hip hop artist Big Daddy Kane (Raleigh); folk musician Elizabeth Cotten (Carrboro) and the late folk/blues guitarist Merle Watson, the son of the legendary Doc Watson.

Elizabeth Cotten, Merle Watson, Mitch Watson, 9th Wonder, and Big Daddy Kane will be inducted into the North Carolina Music Hall of Fame. The NCMHOF will also highlight Pastor Shirley Caesar and Kellie Pickler at our Induction Ceremony on October 17th.”
