Rap star Gucci Mane finally dropped his long-awaited response to the allegations that he was robbed by rappers Pooh Shiesty and Big 30. But media personality DJ Akademiks doesn’t appear to be impressed by it.
Akademiks Reacts to Gucci Mane’s New Diss Track
The 1017 Brick Squad boss dropped off a new track titled Crash Dummy on Friday (April 10). In the song, Gucci aims at the two rappers. Akademiks reacted to the new track on a stream on Friday. And said the response was weak.
“It would’ve been the weakest sh*t ever if it wasn’t for J. Cole apologizing. But this right here is weak too,” Akademiks said in a clip caught by @Big_Business on X. “Getting robbed by your artist, making a police report, then dissing him for robbing you? Nah, this is crazy.”
On the track, he confirms that he was “set up” by the rappers for what he thought was a business meeting. But it turned out to be an ambush.
He also clowns Pooh Shiesty for still being under contract with his record label, 1017 Brick Squad. Even after his arrest.
“Tell the truth, you went out like a real crash dummy / And after all that, boy, you still signed to me,” he raps on the track as caught by Kurrco on X.
According to a new report from the Dallas Morning News, the FBI says that Gucci Mane provided statements to the police. Those were instrumental in securing a warrant to arrest the group of men.
Shiesty was arrested earlier this month on kidnapping and robbery charges after spearheading the ambush. If he is convicted, Shiesty could spend the rest of his life in prison.
