Hip-hop blogger DJ Akademiks has a couple of questions for rapper-turned-television-producer, 50 Cent.
Akademiks Wants 50 Cent to Focus on Daphne Joy in Diddy Doc
On Tuesday (November 26), 50 Cent confirmed that he is the producer of a new Diddy documentary. One that will air exclusively on Netflix in the coming weeks. But before the new doc hits the airwaves, Akademiks wants to know if 50 Cent’s baby mother, Daphne Joy, will be mentioned in the production.
“We need Daphne Joy in there, okay?” Ak said, via joebuddenclips/fanpage on X. “We need a tour of the spot that Diddy was paying for, $10K. So people can get a full scope of what paying $10K a month in rent gets you. In terms of getting a woman that’s down to get peed on, down to get fornicated by multiple strange men.”
To bring things up to speed, Daphne Joy was a pivotal fixture in Diddy’s trial. It is widely alleged that she is the Jane Doe Diddy was convicted of using for prostitution. Many have also alleged that is what led to 50 Cent having bitter feelings toward him.

Upcoming Doc Will Peel Back Curtain
50 Cent has worked on several hit productions such as Power, Raising Kanan, and For Life. But he has also gained a reputation for being a social media troll. So when he announced that he was working on a documentary about disgraced music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, fans were torn about whether or not he was bluffing. But it has proven to be no fluke.
Following the announcement, Alexandria Stapleton, the documentary’s director, said that this production won’t put Diddy on a pedestal. She said that it will serve as a “wake-up call” as it pertains to the idolization of celebrities.
“This isn’t just about the story of Sean Combs or the story of Cassie, or the story of any of the victims, or the allegations against him, or the trial,” she said (via HotNewHipHop). “Ultimately, this story is a mirror [reflecting us] as the public, and what we are saying when we put our celebrities on such a high pedestal. I hope [this documentary] is a wake-up call for how we idolize people, and to understand that everybody is a human being.
