Fans could be in for a treat as it appears that Jay-Z could be getting ready to drop new music. At least according to famed producer, The Alchemist.
Alchemist Appears to Confirm New Jay-Z Music
The Alchemist recently appeared on N.O.R.E.’s podcast, Drink Champs, to promote his forthcoming collab album with Erykah Badu, Abi & Alan. During his appearance, he asked the two co-hosts to “Imagine” a new Jay-Z album.
At that point, N.O.R.E. referenced that Memphis Bleek had recently been a guest on the show and confirmed that HOV had new music on the way. Alchemist then stated that Bleek had “spilled the beans.”
Jay-Z has not dropped any new music since 2017, when he dropped his 13th studio album, 4:44.
However, Bleek revealed that he was with HOV in Las Vegas on the night he made one of two surprise appearances on Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter tour. And while he was with Jay-Z, he nudged him about him working on a new project and wanting to be featured on it. During that conversation, Bleek revealed that Jay-Z all but confirmed he was working on a new project. And said that he would save a verse for him.
“I was just with him in Las Vegas,” Bleek said. “He came out for the [Cowboy Carter] show, and my n***a they went stupid. And I said, ‘Listen, I know you’re working, save me a verse,’ and he was like, ‘I got you.’”
And most recently, New York City artist Cash Cobain also appeared to confirm new music from HOV was on the way. The hit maker behind songs like Fisherr and Rum Punch recently appeared on a panel for Billboard Unfiltered Live.
Cash teased new music from the Black Album creator. Noting that the forthcoming music will “Shake The World.”
“I heard Jay-Z is about to drop some s**t that’s gonna shake the world. That’s what I heard,” he said.
