The New York Knicks are set to host a championship parade to commemorate their NBA Finals win last weekend. And Alicia Keys is going to be one of the performers.
Alicia Keys Set to Close Out Knicks Championship Parade
According to the New York Post, Keys is one of the “big guns” they are bringing in to enhance the parade experience.
The singer will perform her and Jay-Z’s smash hit, Empire State of Mind. A song that became the soundtrack to the Knicks’ championship run. No word on whether Jay-Z will join her on stage for the performance.
The Knicks will be having their first ticker-tape parade ever. After winning their first championship in over 50 years. Needless to say, this celebration is going to be a spectacle, and the city is prepared for it.
New York is expected to have 10,000 police officers on duty. The largest number of cops has been deployed for a single event in the city’s history.
So there will also be a screening for anyone who wants to see the parade. And several rules will be strictly enforced.

Bicyles
Scooters
The celebration will run from Battery Park City in Manhattan to City Hall. NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani will also host a ceremony for the champs at City Hall, where he is expected to present them with the key to the city in recognition of hanging the banner.
