In a post shared by XXL, the rapper’s daughter confirmed his passing. In a photo shared on her Instagram account, 1of1Cahleaaa, the rapper’s daughter shared a photo of him holding his hand in the hospital. She captioned the photo with Monday’s date, “7/20/26,” along with a broken heart emoji.

The post comes after several reports circulated claiming that the rapper had passed away. But his daughter had shut down those earlier claims.
According to a report from AllHipHop, Alley Boy passed away after a longstanding battle with kidney failure. He had been on dialysis for the last three years.
Alley Boy was one of the major players on the East Atlanta rap scene during the early 2000s. As co-CEO of the record label Duct Tape, he built a dedicated following with his raw trap style and collaborations with artists like Gucci Mane and Juicy J.
After his passing was confirmed, tributes began to pour in from members of the hip-hop community on social media.
“I literally was just watching you and bank chop game sound like you was somewhat at peace with your past Rest Easy Big Fella,” one person wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“Man, this is heartbreaking. Alley Boy’s raw storytelling was legendary. RIP,” a second user chimed in.
“Damn, I just watched the big bank interview with them two. Praying he, Skoob, and Dave are smiling up top. Siri, play When I Die by Alley Boy for me!” a third user remarked.
Alley Boy was 42 at the time of his passing.
