The troll rapper is a noted snitch who was welcomed back into Hip Hop with open arms, collaborating with several rappers and even scoring another hit with Nicki Minaj.
But Rocky pushed back on Lee, explaining why the streets didn’t disown him.
“6ix9ine so entertaining bro,” Rocky said. “He had a powerful movement when he came out. He had the bloods and the crips together on some unity s***. You check out his beginning videos, all the crips here, all the bloods here and they mingling ain’t no one fighting, it’s just love. What Did 6ix9ine Do?
He was arrested years ago on firearms and racketeering charges that carried a sentence of at least 47 years if he were convicted.
Within 24 hours of his arrest, he made a deal with the government, agreeing to plead guilty and testify for the prosecution against two co-defendants, both former Nine Trey members.
The rapper plead guilty soon after to racketeering conspiracy and eight related charges in a hearing that was initially kept secret while the federal investigation continued.
“I was weak and easily influenced. I can’t believe that was me,” he said through tears at the sentencing hearing. “There is no apology good enough.”
Because he assisted the government and testified against his former brothers, he got out of jail, went back to music, and became a streamer.
Considering how Rocky almost got put away because of a snitch, it’s ironic Rocky is cool with him.
Additionally, 6ix9ine was charged with performing sexual acts on a minor, though got the sentence down to a four year probation.
