Shooting at Boosie Concert Leaves Two in Critical Condition
According to a report from Fox 19 Cleveland, shots rang out during Boosie’s Akron show on March 10.
“Akron police are looking for the gunman who opened fire inside a crowded bar early Monday, injuring three people. Off-duty uniformed officers working security for the business heard the gunshots and called for assistance,” the report reads.
The report also adds that two of the three shooting victims are listed as being in critical condition.
“When officers went inside, they found two of the three victims, an 18-year-old male and a 36-year-old man. Both were transported to a local hospital and are listed in critical condition. Their names have not been released. The third victim, a 25-year-old man, showed up at an emergency room with a graze-gunshot injury. His name is also not being released,” the report adds.
“Police said there had been a concert at the Field House Lounge and at some point a fight broke out and the gunman fired multiple shots.
Promotion flyers posted to social media indicate the concert was featuring rapper Torrence “Boosie” Ivy Hatch Jr.”
Boosie did not seem to be aware of the severity of the incident. Shortly after the melee he announced that his show was shut down by police. But he did not refer to the actual shooting.
“They just shut the concert down. I’ve been in the back a couple of hours waiting to perform and they just shut the concert down – I don’t know – some s**t happened in the front,” he wrote.
“We’re going to take it to Crush Ultra Lounge, the party don’t stop. Guess they gonna have to book me again in Omaha, but we finna … we finna take it to Crush man.”
