The Atlanta Hawks are set to pay homage to one of the city’s most “iconic cultural institutions.”That being the popular Atlanta gentleman’s club, Magic City.
The Hawks will celebrate the gentleman’s club. With their own version of “Magic City Monday” when they take on the Orlando Magic in March.

Hawks Set to Host ‘Magic City’ Themed Night in March
Fans will get to enjoy the taste of the ever-popular Magic City kitchen. They will serve two versions of their popular lemon pepper wings. The original version, and the Louwill Lemon Pepper BBQ — a nod to the phrase coined by NBA analyst Shannon Sharpe, after Williams broke the 2020 NBA bubble rules. To visit Magic City for its world-famous wings.
Atlanta-born artist T.I. is also set to perform during halftime of the game, while popular Atlanta DJ, DJ Esco, will curate the pre-game playlist.
Bringing that authentic Atlanta Flavor to State Farm Arena.
“From the food to the music and the exclusive merchandise, we are excited to team up with Magic City to create an authentic, True to Atlanta-inspired game experience,” Hawks Executive Vice President & Chief Marketing Officer Melissa Proctor said in a statement.
Magic City became widely popular in Atlanta in the 2000s. Under owner Michael “Mr. Magic” Barney, the club revolutionized hip-hop. Serving as the premier testing ground for new music on Monday nights, also known as Magic City Mondays. The club helped break out top hip-hop acts such as Future, Young Jeezy, and the Migos.
Hawks principal owner, Jamie Gertz, was also one of the producers of the 2025 Starz documentary ‘Magic City: An American Fantasy’, which details the rise of the club in the early 2000s. Ahead of the Hawks ‘Magic City Monday-themed night, Gertz expressed how “meaningful” it is to him.
“This collaboration and theme night is very meaningful to me after all the work that we did to put together ’Magic City: An American Fantasy,” Gertz said. He also produced the 2025 Starz documentary about the gentlemen’s club. “The iconic Atlanta institution has made such an incredible impact on our city and its unique culture.”
The Hawks will host Magic City on Monday, March 16, when they take on the Orlando Magic.
