BET+ has officially canceled 106 & Sports, the sports talk spinoff hosted by former NFL MVP Cam Newton, after just one eight-episode season.

The show, which was designed as a sports-focused extension of the iconic 106 & Park brand, will not return for another season. BET+ confirmed that the series concluded following its initial run of eight episodes.

Hosted by Cam Newton alongside sports analyst Ashley Nicole Moss, 106 & Sports aimed to blend sports commentary with cultural discussions, tapping into the legacy of 106 & Park, which was once one of the most influential platforms in hip-hop and entertainment.

Despite the high-profile hosting lineup and strong brand recognition, the show’s run was short-lived, marking the end of BET’s attempt to revive the 106 & Park franchise through a sports-centered format.

The cancellation closes the chapter on what could have been a new evolution of the historic BET platform, leaving fans wondering whether the network will attempt another reboot in the future.
