Beyoncé is now officially a Primetime Emmy winner. On Tuesday (Aug. 12), the Television Academy revealed the winners in the 77th Emmy Awards’ juried categories, which honor achievements in animation, costume design, emerging media programming, and motion design.
The superstar earned her Emmy for Outstanding Costumes for Variety, Nonfiction or Reality Programming as a costume designer on her Netflix special Beyoncé Bowl. She shares the award with fellow costume designer Shiona Turini, assistant costume designers Erica Rice and Molly Peters, costume supervisor Chelsea Staebell, and head of workroom Timothy White.
These juried honors will be presented during the 77th Creative Arts Emmy Awards at the Peacock Theater at L.A. Live over two nights—Saturday, Sept. 6, and Sunday, Sept. 7. An edited version of the ceremony will air Saturday, Sept. 13, at 8 p.m. PT on FXX.
Beyoncé’s Beyoncé Bowl is also up for two additional awards: Outstanding Variety Special (Live), where she’s credited as performer and executive producer, and Outstanding Directing for a Variety Special, which she shares with Alex Rudzinski.
This latest win further solidifies Beyoncé’s unparalleled awards legacy. She already holds the record for the most Grammy wins in history, with 35 trophies, and in 2022 she received an Oscar nomination for Best Original Song for co-writing “Be Alive” from King Richard with DIXSON.
