Bhad Bhabie says don’t believe the hype when it comes to reports she’s in major credit card debt.
The 21-year-old rapper and internet star, born Danielle Bregoli, is being sued by American Express for allegedly failing to pay off a hefty credit card bill totaling $674,452.40. According to court documents filed Wednesday (July 2) in Los Angeles County Superior Court, Amex claims she stopped making payments on her account in December 2024 after initially being extended credit in April 2021.
“Plaintiff extended credit to Defendant for purchases and/or cash advances… Defendant promised to repay Plaintiff for all charges, fees, and interest,” the complaint reads, alleging a breach of contract. The financial giant is now seeking the full unpaid balance in damages.
But Bhad Bhabie is calling BS. When The Shade Room caught up with her for comment, she flat-out denied the accusations. “S–t not true. Where do they get this s–t from?” she said.
This lawsuit definitely raises some eyebrows, especially since Bhabie has been vocal about the massive bags she’s secured over the past few years.
Earlier this year, she claimed she grossed over $75 million — with $57 million in take-home earnings. Most of that came from her viral run on OnlyFans in 2023, where she reportedly pulled in $18 million in her first month alone.
So what’s really going on? Is this a simple mistake or something deeper?
Bhad Bhabie hasn’t issued any official legal response yet, but she can always make time to factcheck someone on her figures.
