Big Tigger went to social media over the weekend to announce his departure from Atlanta radio station V103.
Tigger Announces Hiatus From Radio Amid Legal Drama
In a post to his Instagram account on Sunday (July 6), he said his number one priority is focusing on his family right now.
“Nothing is more important to me than being a great father. So I’ve decided to step away from the mic for a while to focus on my family and give my legal team the room they need,” he said in the post. As I previously said, I unequivocally deny every allegation, and I am looking forward to clearing my name. Thank you so much, all for the love and support.”
Tigger’s arrest stemmed from an argument he and Brown had at their family home. Over a text conversation that Tigger had with a female co-worker (perceived to be his co-host, Francesca Amika).
Brown says that amid their back-and-forth, Tigger pulled out his cellphone and began recording the altercation. And after Tigger began recording, she grabbed the phone. At which point he tackled her to the ground in an attempt to retrieve it. She also says that during the altercation, she went into their home office. And threatened to break a computer that she had purchased. And when Tigger tried to stop her, he slammed her into a door headfirst.
However, the radio host says that his life has become “the subject of overwhelming speculation and misinformation.”
“For as long as I’ve been in this industry, my focus has always been to keep the spotlight on the culture and the incredible people I get to interview,” the statement adds. “But right now, my personal life is in the public eye and has become the subject of overwhelming speculation and misinformation. Through all of this, what hurts the most is being away from my son.”
Tigger is set to appear in court later this month.
