Boosie Says He Wants to Star in ‘Martin’ Remake
The Louisiana rap star is ready to take his entertainment from social media to the film studio. In a recent social media post, Boosie made an offer to movie star Martin Lawrence. He says he wants to star in the reboot of the popular 1990s sitcom as Martin Lawrence’s son.
“THANK U MARTINI WATCH YO SHOW EVERY NIGHT LIKE IT JUST CAME OUT LETS DO A REMAKE N LET ME PLAY YOUR SON WE WOULD BREAK THE BANK MY N***A,” the rapper wrote in a social media post on Monday (March 30).
However, fans in the comments section of the post were not on board. With many stating that it wouldn’t work because Boosie and Martin are so close in age.
“N***a, you look just as old as Martin. How are you going to be his son?” one user asked on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“Who made this post? Boosie would be the grandpa! Stop playing,” a second user chimed in.
“Lmaooo Boosie put the weed down! Talking bout son.. sb said maybe Jerome’s cousin cause what he needs a Grandpopson for?” a third user asked.

The ending of the original sitcom sees Martin bid farewell to Detroit to star in his own talk show in Hollywood. His girlfriend, Gina (played by Tisha Campbell-Martin), also moves to California after landing a big marketing job in Los Angeles. So it makes sense for the newlyweds to have a son in the reboot.
