In the second single off of Clipse’s forthcoming Let God Sort ‘Em Out project, Pusha T aims toward Rap star Travis Scott. In the song titled So Be It, the rap artist threatens to release a video of Scott crying following his breakup with his ex-girlfriend, Kylie Jenner.
“You cried in front of me, you died in front of me. Calabasas took your b*tch and your pride in front of me. I got the video I can share and AE it. I can’t unsee it, lucky I ain’t TMZ it,” he raps on the track.
Bun B Cautions Pusha T Amid Beef With Travis Scott
Amid their budding beef, many have wondered if Travis would be able to keep pace in a rap feud with Pusha T. Specifically questioning the validity of his pen.
However, fellow Houston rap legend Bun B cites Travis’ Texas roots as a reason to not count him out. Bun doesn’t expect the Astroworld creator to back down. He also says that a lyrical response from Travis could come as early as this weekend.
“Travis ain’t about to back down. He’s from Houston,” Bun said during a recent taping of Shannon Sharpe’s Nightcap show. “I wouldn’t be surprised if you hear something before the weekend is done. It’s either go into it or act like it didn’t happen, but the problem is that the people are going to demand a response. When these beefs happen, you have to respond.”
There is no doubt that Travis is a hitmaker. With one of the biggest fanbases in the music industry. He has worked with the likes of Drake, SZA, and Future. Still, he doesn’t have the backing of everyone on the Houston rap scene. Earlier this year, Houston artist, Sauce Walka called Scott out for his lack of songs with Houston area artists. Citing that he doesn’t really bond with his hometown’s artist because of the way they treated him whim while he was growing up.
“Travis Scott don’t got songs with no OGs in Houston. He don’t like none of the OGs in Houston cause he don’t like the way they treated him when he was ‘Lil Travis,'” Walka said.
“He’s not going to vocalize it, he’s not going to say it, he’s not going to do what I’m doing. He going to let y’all perform, do a little this and that to be nice. But my n—a, you don’t think that don’t makes sense why Travis Scott ain’t got songs with the great legends of Houston?”
