In an era of digital media where everyone wants to go viral, one fan just learned that content creation can sometimes have major consequences. Courtesy of rap legend, Busta Rhymes.

Busta Rhymes Grills Fan Over ‘Tracy Morgan’ Comment

The rap star was in Miami over the weekend for Art Basel. And stopped to take a picture with a fan. Or at least he thought he was. But when the cameras began to flash, the content creator referred to the rap legend as “My boy Tracy,” referring to actor and comedian, Tracy Morgan.

Although the content creator was making a joke that was all in good fun, Busta did not seem to be amused by his actions. As the mood quickly changed from light-hearted to serious.

“Wait, wait, wait. What’d you just say?” Busta asks in the social media video when the content creator mentions Tracy Morgan. “Put your camera down… I’m taking a picture to show love, and you’re trying to be funny… You don’t play with a grown man, little boy. That’s how people get f***ed up.”

The situation was ultimately diffused, but you could see just how much the atmosphere had changed. Once Busta began to interject, the video gets eerily quiet, and many of the people in the area began to disperse.

Once the video went viral on social media, fans began to weigh in with mixed responses. And the majority of them felt like Busta’s actions were justified.

“Bring back being allowed to slap the shit outta punks with no repercussions,” one user wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.

“THIS is what needs to happen EVERY TIME YALL play with people for some ‘engagement” … get pink from fear,” another user added.

“Instead of justifying it, you should have said sorry, I was tryna be funny and go viral and went on about your day lol,” a third user chimed in.

Busta Rhymes has not responded following the release of the video.
