The California Supreme Court has rejected Tory Lanez’s request to review his conviction in the shooting case involving Megan Thee Stallion.
The ruling was handed down on Wednesday (Feb. 25) and formally affirmed on Thursday (Feb. 26), marking another legal setback for the incarcerated rapper. The decision comes three months after the California Court of Appeals upheld his conviction, further solidifying the original verdict.
In December 2022, Lanez was found guilty of shooting Megan Thee Stallion following a dispute in Los Angeles. He was later sentenced to 10 years in prison in August 2023. Despite maintaining his innocence, Lanez has made multiple attempts to secure a new trial and overturn the conviction — all of which have been unsuccessful.
According to court records, Lanez will be eligible for parole in August 2029.
