Cam’ron isn’t backing down over his comments about Bam Adebayo’s historic performance.
Cam’ron Calls Out Critics Over Bam Comments
The Miami Heat star scored 83 points against the Washington Wizards on Tuesday Night (March 10). The second most points in a single game in league history.
Despite the historic performance from the Olympian, Cam’ron was not impressed with Bam’s 83-point game. And caught a lot of backlash on social media because of it. But Cam’ron was quick to hit back at those critics.
“I’m not celebrating that s**t. And I’m still not celebrating it,” he said during the Thursday (March 12) episode of It is What It Is. “And for all of you people who were mad about it, I don’t give a f**. When ya’ll n****s be mad at me, it makes me more happy. It turns me on. I don’t give a f**k what y’all people think about what I say. You know why? Because you don’t have to watch me.”

During a recent episode of his It is What it Is podcast, the Dipset leader questioned the validity of Adebayo’s performance against Washington. Cam took issue with the manner in which Adebayo racked up his points. The Miami Heat star shot an NBA record 43 free throws. And toward the end of the game, the Heat began to intentionally foul the Wizards in an effort to get Bam more opportunities to score. Despite already being up double-digits.
Erik Spoelstra Hits Back at Haters
The Heat caught a lot of backlash over their strategy, but during a recent press conference, Miami’s head coach Erik Spoelstra was non-apologetic.
“I apologize to absolutely no one,” Spoelstra told reporters via Yahoo Sports.
He also added:
It’s a Tuesday night game against a team where they’re not playing for anything, the organization is trying to lose …..
And I spoke to Bam … I want, as our best player and team captain, for him to be locked in. And he sure was. … He approached that game appropriately.”
Amid all the melee, Wilt Chamberlain still sits in the top spot for the NBA single-game scoring record with 100 points. Do you think that’s the next record to be snapped?
