Cam’ron is mourning the loss of his close friend Young Scooter, revealing that the tragic news left him in tears.

During the latest episode of his sports talk show It Is What It Is, the Harlem rapper kicked the program off by honoring the late Atlanta rapper and expressing his heartbreak.
“Big rest in peace to my bro Young Scooter, man. That’s my n-gga, man,” Cam’ron said. “That shit had me in tears this past weekend. I love that n-gga, man. So just wanna give a rest in peace to Young Scooter.”
The 39-year-old rapper, whose real name was Kenneth Bailey, passed away over the weekend in what authorities are now calling a freak accident. According to an official autopsy, Scooter sustained a fatal injury to his leg while attempting to jump a fence as he fled from the police.
Many rappers paid tribute throughout social media upon learning of Scooter’s demise. This includes not just Atlanta collaborators and admirers like Quavo and Playboi Carti, but also folks like Meek Mill and producers ATL Jacob and Zaytoven.
On Saturday, the rapper’s son Kenneth Bailey Jr shared a series of Instagram stories saying his goodbyes.
“Damn my best friend gone. Happy birthday too. I know exactly what to do fasho tho you know I got my sisters and brothers they overly good yo son a Hustla just like you. Watch dis. I promise ima get back to yall thank yall. Im just tryna stay off this social media s**t got lame a** blogs lyin and s**t man ion even wanna see nunna dis s**t. Broken into million pieces ion wish dis pain on nobody. Dude a good n***a he ain’t deserve this s**t.”
