The vibes in New York appeared to be at an all-time high. After the Knicks took a 2-0 lead over the San Antonio Spurs in the NBA finals on Friday Night (June 5). And with the city set to host its first NBA Finals Game since 1999, residents expected pandemonium ahead of Game 3.
Cam’ron, Mase Weigh in on Trump’s Attendance at NBA Finals
But that momentum was put to a standstill after the Knicks announced that United States President Donald Trump would be in attendance on Monday Night. Leading to enhanced security measures. During a recent episode of the, It is What it Is podcast, co-hosts Cam’ron and Mase sent a warning to the New York faithful. Given their rowdiness throughout this playoff run, the ex-rappers pleaded with residents not to try anything with the President’s Secret Service lurking.
“Don’t let the cops or the Secret Service, or whoever, run you over. Because when Trump’s convoy comes through, they’re not stopping. Just be careful out there tonight, that’s all I would like to say to fellow New Yorkers. Have fun but be careful,” Cam said in a clip caught by KillaKreww on X.

In response to Trump’s appearance at the Garden tonight, the Knicks PR sent out a statement to ticket holders. Suggesting that they arrive at the arena at least two hours prior to tipoff. And said that to get into the building, attendees would be subject to a TSA-style screening. And that a strict no-bag policy would be enforced.
Mase chimed in, saying that he wasn’t a fan of Trump being in attendance for Game 3. Stating that he did not want any “new people” in the Garden. And said that he felt like anything new could “jeopardize” their win streak. And said that if the Knicks were to lose, he would definitely get the blame.
The Knicks will have the chance to take a commanding 3-0 lead on Monday night.
