Cam’ron Rips NBA For “Damaging” Its Product
During a recent episode of the talk show, Cam’ron addressed the current issues with the current NBA product. Noting that the league is hurting its product by making it harder to watch NBA games.
“I can’t find the f*****g NBA game that I want to see,” Cam’ron started. “It’s on ESPN tonight, Peacock Tomorrow Night. It’s all over the place because [NBA Commissioner] Adam Silver is doing these deals. It’s on Prime the next night, now it’s on nineteen channels.”

The NBA previously aired exclusively on ESPN and Turner Sports Networks such as TNT and NBA TV. However, the NBA decided to terminate its broadcasting rights agreement with Turner at the end of last season. And struck deals with NBC and Prime while retaining their relationship with ESPN. But the problem with that is that fans must have subscriptions to all of those apps, which essentially costs more money. And Cam’ron believes it is “damaging” the league’s product.
“To me, it is damaging the product because now [the NBA] is on every app,” he continued. “I’m just gonna have to miss some games. I’m not getting Peacock to see game 26 of the NBA season.”
However, even though Cam says he believes that the NBA’s decision could prove to be damaging, he also understands that the bottom line is the dollar sign.
“Because they are collecting more money, the players are going to collect more money. That’s just the way it goes. Do they deserve it? You may say they don’t deserve it. But when not only the franchises but the league that they are playing for is making an extra two billion [dollars], that’s just the way it is going to go,” he concluded.
