Jay-Z’s freestyle at the 2026 Roots Picnic has taken the rap industry by storm. Especially after calling out several of his enemies.
Jay called out a host of people, including Nicki Minaj, Tory Lanez, and Damon Dash. But the person whom everybody noticed that he called out was Drake. But even though most of the industry is praising Hov for his freestyle, not everyone is impressed. Such as his former Roc-A-Fella artist, Cam’ron.
Cam’ron Unimpressed With Jay-Z’s Roots Picnic Freestyle
During a recent episode of his Talk With Flee freestyle, Cam’ron appeared to be unimpressed with Jay-Z’s performance at the Roots Picnic. And suggested that this was the perfect opportunity for Drake to catch his nemesis in a vulnerable position.
“I think that freestyle not hitting the way that Jay-Z freestyles usually hit, this is an opportunity if Drake wants to be like “that ain’t it homeboy,” the rapper said in a clip caught by Big_Business on X.
Cam'ron says Drake has the upper hand after hearing Jay Z's freestyle and thought it was not good.

Drake dropped his new album, Iceman, back in May. On his new hit, Janice STFU Drake, ” he appeared to call out Hov. On the song, he raps, “We know how you OGs are rocking, The Jig is up.”
Jay-Z appeared to respond to Drake in a new freestyle he performed at the Roots Picnic. He raps: “The jig is up, N***a I’m up 10. Wrong chart, champ, you gotta look up again. N****s look up to HOV.. I never looked up to them.
Jay-Z also appears to reference Drake’s ongoing contract negotiations with his distribution label, Universal Music Group.
“Them crackers got your publishin’, gangster, go talk tough to them
Don’t talk success to me, you niggas are workers
In perpetuities, how your contracts are worded,” he raps.
To this point, Drake has not responded to Hov.
