Cam’ron has been no stranger to rap feuds this year. So far in 2025, he reignited his feud with his former Diplomats co-star Jim Jones and engaged in a back-and-forth with 2025 XXL Freshman Gelo Ball. And now the rap star is aiming for former ’90s child star Omar Gooding. Who appeared in hit productions such as Smart Guy and Hanging With Mr. Cooper.
Cam’ron Sends Strong Message to Omar Gooding
Cam’ron took to social media on Tuesday, August 5, to call Gooding out. He posted a nostalgic picture of Gooding during his time as a child actor. While simultaneously sending an ominous warning toward him.
“[Omar Gooding] this you?!” Cam’ron wrote on Instagram, referencing the photo. “I’m back in America. And got 3 weeks before @itiswhatitis_talk starts back up, U still wanna play? U a Nickelodeon kid. Be careful n***a lol.”
Gooding did not waste any time hitting back at the Purple Haze creator. As he brushed off Cam’ron’s Instagram post, with a social media video of his own.
“That’s not it. That’s gonna backfire on you. If you want it, get in the booth. It’s that simple. I’ve already been in there. You wanna hear me again?” Gooding said in a video posted to his Instagram account.
He also teased that he has an album dropping later this year.
Cam & Omar’s Beef Explained
How did the beef between Cam and Gooding start? It all began on Cam’ron’s controversial sports talk show, It Is What It Is. During one of the segments of the program, Cam’ron appeared to hint at Gooding being a has-been who needed to reach out to 50 Cent to revive his career.
“No disrespect to nobody I’m talking about like #VingRhames, you sitting around, or Omar Gooding Jr., y’all ni**as sitting around, I would have saved my money and shot my own sh*t by now, but the Black actor has to sit around for a 50 Cent or somebody in your lane to come pick them up [and] put them in something,” he said as caught by VIBE
That prompted Gooding to respond with a diss record titled “Fix Ya Mouth” in January, where he called out the Dipset rapper.
“He probably didn’t mean it like he said it, but he said it so f**k that dude/ I know them sneaky freaks and how they think/ They like to booboo and don’t think it stink and then they favorite color’s pink/ But probably call it salmon,” he raps in the song.
