Cardi B dropped her highly anticipated sophomore album, Am I The Drama, on September 19. And even though it has been more than a month since she dropped the album, the Bronx Native still has the music industry buzzing with her latest project.
Cardi B Reveals When Fans Can Expect Her Next Album
Fans have enjoyed the album so much that they have been clamoring for more. Many are even requesting that she drop a deluxe edition of her new album. Cardi B addressed those requests during a recent X Spaces. And unfortunately, they won’t be getting a deluxe version of the project.
“I see you guys asking for a deluxe or asking to do a remix album like Charli X[CX] or something,” she said as heard through Complex. “Unfortunately, I am not doing none of that. What I gave y’all is what y’all getting.”
However, the news wasn’t all bad. Even though fans won’t be getting a deluxe version of her sophomore album, Cardi sounds like she intends to keep on dropping new music. She stated that she is ready to enter a new era. Beyond Am I The Drama? She hinted that she could have a new project coming within the next year.
“However, I want to put out a project, another album in less than a year, so I’m really planning on that,” she continued. “I want a new era, I kinda know what I want it to look like. It’s gonna be different from Am I the Drama?“
This would be a complete 180 for Cardi B. After dropping her debut album Invasion of Privacy in 2017, nearly eight years had lapsed before she dropped a new project. Now less than two months removed from her latest drop, she is already back in album mode. It will be interesting to see what the Bronx emcee has in store for her fans.
