Cardi B Teases First Headlining Tour in New Interview
Despite not dropping an album since 2018, Cardi has remained one of the hottest artists in the game. Smash singles like WAP, Money, and Enough have helped her maintain relevancy.
During a recent interview with Billboard, the Bronx femcee talked about how she likes to remain patient when it comes to dropping new music. Noting that she doesn’t want to put out new music without it being a good product.
“I could rush and put out music like it’s nothing and then pick up millions of dollars per show, but it’s not about that,” she said to the outlet. “I want the music to be great. I want it to be amazing.”
Cardi has yet to confirm a tour for her upcoming album. But with this being one of the most anticipated sophomore albums in recent memory, it’s something that her fans are expecting.
When discussing a potential tour for Am I The Drama, the former Love & Hip Hop Star said it will be unlike anything her fans have seen in the past.
“I think my personal tour is not going to be like any other performances that I’ve ever had,” she added. “From the aesthetics to the look to even the way I perform, I’m going to be doing things that I don’t normally do, like work out, because I want to be the best. I’ve been going to so many different tours. I went to the Madonna show and the Beyoncé show. I can’t perform like Beyoncé, but you can’t half-ass nothing.”
