Cardi B released her highly anticipated sophomore album “Am I The Drama?” on Friday (Sep 19)–her first album in seven years–and let’s just say… the Bronx rapper did NOT come to play. The “WAP” rapper is naming names, taking shots, and making sure the world knows she’s still the one not to mess with.
At the center of the rollout is “Pretty & Petty,” a no-holds-barred record where Cardi revives her 2024 clash with Boston rapper BIA. Bardi begins the track clowning her industry relevance and even questioning if fans could recognize any of her tracks.
“Name five BIA songs, gun pointed to your head/ Bow, I’m dead,” she rapped.
She doubles down with lines about BIA’s look, her flow, and even her label situation, flipping shots at Epic Records while ridiculing promoters who only book “Diarrhea Bia” when “they can’t afford Coi,” in reference to Coi Leray. She even threw in a bar about Diddy rumors and ended the verse with a family jab: “I’m a bad btch and you mad / ’Cause you built like your dad.”
This feud goes back to March 2024 when fans accused Cardi of copying BIA’s style, and BIA seemed to agree on X (formerly Twitter). Looks like Cardi’s been waiting to address that one on wax.
And BIA isn’t the only one catching smoke. On another track, “Magnet,” Cardi unloads on City Girls’ JT with a full minute of straight bars. She brought up JT’s relationship with Lil Uzi Vert, firing off lines like:
“You just mad you got a n—a you can share bags with / My man might cheat, at least I don’t stick dildos in his a** b–ch.”
Then she kept pressing: “All that d–k riding still ain’t get no feature a** b–ch.”
Cardi’s return doesn’t just mark a new era in her career—it’s a reminder that she thrives in the chaos. For better or worse, she’s returned to rap’s center stage with bars aimed at sparking conversation, controversy, and competition.
