Ye, the rap star formerly known as Kanye West, has unleashed a series of daunting social media posts over the past several weeks. He has taken aim at several people including his longtime friend Jay-Z. On March 20, the Yeezy founder brought another face to the forefront. That being Diddy’s ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura.
Cassie Hits Back at Kanye West
Diddy and Ye have cultivated a closer bond over the last few weeks, with Kanye even demanding his release from prison. And now he has stooped to a new low of calling Cassie a liar.
“How every n—a you know hit a girl before but everybody so mad at Puff?” he wrote. “So Cassie ain’t extort Puff? Cassie came to Puff and said gimme 30 million or I’ma release a tell-all book. That looks like extortion to me.”
Cassie very subtly responded to Ye’s claims. After Playboi Carti told the Chicago native to “shut up,” to social media amid his firestorm of tweets, Cassie reposted a screenshot of the photo to her Instagram story.
For those tardy to the party, Cassie is the person who is the catalyst of all of Diddy’s legal drama. In November 2023, she came forward to share her chilling account about her relationship. While they were together, Cassie says that she was physically and sexually abused by the Bad Boy Founder.
She brought him to civil trial. And Diddy quickly settled. But that was only the beginning of Diddy’s legal trouble. Over the next several months several other people came forward alleging that they had experienced similar abuse at the hands of the music mogul.
Despite several testimonies from survivors, some people still were not convinced Diddy was guilty. But that all changed last May. When CNN revealed an exclusive video of Diddy unleashing a gruesome assault on Cassie.
In the film, Diddy chases her down the hallway of a Los Angeles hotel in 2016. After catching her Diddy kicks and punches her several times before dragging her down the hallway.
The statute of limitations prevented the police from charging Diddy in that specific crime. But he was arrested for his role in a sex trafficking operation in September.
