A motion was filed on April 4 identifying Ventura as “Victim-1” of Diddy’s upcoming trial, which will see him face charges for sex trafficking, transportation to engage in prostitution, and racketeering.
Cassie “is prepared to testify under her own name,” according to the filings. “Victim-2, Victim-3, and Victim-4 have asked that their identities not be revealed to the press or the public.”
Cassie was the first high-profile figure to sue the 55-year-old for sexual assault and sex trafficking in November 2023, starting a tidal wave of similar lawsuits.
The suit was settled the following day for an undisclosed amount, but much of her allegations would form the basis of the sex trafficking and racketeering charges against Diddy.
Prosecutors describe her as a central figure in the indictment, which spans nearly two decades of alleged abuse and criminal activity perpetrated by Combs and his inner circle.
Diddy was recently hit with two more criminal charges ahead of his trial next month. Prosecutors filed a superseding indictment that gives him an additional charge of sex trafficking and one additional charge of transportation to engage in prostitution.
These charges are on top of the other charges that he’s already facing: one count of each of the two previously mentioned charges, plus one count of racketeering.
The trial is scheduled to begin on May 12, 2025, at a federal courthouse in New York. Combs remains in custody at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, just over a month after a race riot ensued that forced him into lockdown.
