New details have emerged in the D4VD, Celeste Rivas Murder Trial. And as with most updates in this ongoing investigation, it is horrifying.
Rivas’ Updated Death Certificate Doesn’t Rule Out Pregnancy
According to a Thursday (April 30) report from TMZ, Rivas’ death certificate has been updated to say that it is “unclear” if the teen was pregnant at the time of her murder.
To bring things up to speed, Rivas’ dismembered body was found in a Tesla registered to singer D4VD (born David Burke). The abandoned vehicle was found in Hollywood Hills before being towed to a nearby impound lot. After receiving complaints of a foul odor coming from the car, Rivas’ body was found.
In April, the singer was arrested in connection with the teen’s death. He is being charged with first-degree murder.
Prosecutors alleged that Rivas met the singer when she was just 11 years old. And they began a romantic relationship when she was 13, and Burke was 18 years old.
According to a post shared by Kurrco on X, investigators obtained messages between Rivas and D4VD. This showed that she began to get jealous of the singer’s other relationships. And threatened to go public about their relationship, which would have obviously jeopardized his lucrative singing career.
In a press conference following the singer’s arrest, Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman vowed to get justice for Rivas and her family.
“This horrific and gruesome murder committed by the charged sexual predator is shocking and appalling. To Celeste’s loved ones, we will get the justice you seek and deserve,” he said.
If convicted, D4VD could potentially face the death penalty.
