Sad news to report from the world of Hip Hop. Longtime CMG associate, and close friend of Yo Gotti, CEO Grip, has died.
The cause of death is allegedly a brain aneurysm.
Grip was a major player behind the scenes, as he handled a bulk of the business side for the record label.
Several rappers offered their condolences to Gotti and the CMG family.
“I want to say RIP to my n***a Grip, man,” Boosie said. “Me and Grip go way back, bro. Rest in peace, my n***a.”
“Damn big dawg,” YFN Lucci posted.
“Damn big bra,” 42 Dugg posted.
“Nawww nawww ceo nawww,” Kay Houston posted.
Yo Gotti and CMG have not released a statement at this time.
Reportedly, the brain aneurysm that took Grip’s life was a known condition.
