Charlamagne the God is not one to miss a marketing opportunity. And he used a clip from a recent episode of the Joe Budden Podcast to promote his upcoming Black Effect Podcast festival.
Charlamagne Invites Joe Budden Podcast to His Festival
On Tuesday (April 21), Charlamagne posted a video of a recent clip of the podcast. Where several members of the podcast crew questioned co-host Ish about why he would be going to Atlanta this weekend. After they continued grilling of him, Ish ultimately revealed that he would be going to the festival. Hosted by one of Budden’s stiffest competitors in the podcast industry.
In response to the clip that has since gone viral, Charlamagne invited the entire crew to this weekend’s festival.
“The Whole JBP is invited to the 4th Annual @blackeffect podcast festival. Happening this Saturday, April 25th, in Atlanta, GA, at Pullman Yards. It’s A Family Affair!!! (ticket link in my bio) WE TRULY THANK GOD FOR IT ALL!!,” he captioned hissocial media post.
The podcast does have a pretty impressive lineup of talent set to hit the stage. In fact, one of the Joe Budden Podcast regulars, Mona aka Call Me White Girl, is one of those talents. Other talents include Deante Kyle of the Grits and Eggs podcast, Jeff Teague’s Club 520 podcast, and Nore’s Drink Champs podcast.
Per the event’s website, the festival is described as an “unforgettable celebration of Black voices, storytelling, and community.” While also adding: “For one powerful day, culture moves from the mic to the stage with live podcast recording sessions, curated conversations, and real-time moments that shape what. is next.”
Tickets for the event are still on sale, ranging from $30.48- $172.86.
