Meek took issue with Charlamagne’s recent comments about him on his podcast, Brilliant Idiots. Where he suggested that the Philadelphia rapper “didn’t recover” from his feud with Drake. However, Charlamagne said that he believes that his comments were taken out of context.
“When I say ‘Didn’t really recover I mean perception, narrative, like on social media,” he said. “Because when Drake and Meek had their rap beef, that’s when the narrative started to change. That’s when the jokes started, and the jokes haven’t really stopped since.”
In response to Charlamagne’s comments, Meek showcased a lengthy list of all the plaques he has earned since he feuded with Drizzy. But Charlamagne says that Meek was arguing against a point that he never made.
“I never said he didn’t drop any music. I said that if I were him, I would have deleted Twitter and kept dropping music.” the r Every single time Meek posts, the internet turns it into a joke. Ya’ll was just laughing at him last week because he posted about being on LinkedIn. And I even said on Brilliant Idiots that the way they act towards Meek is strange. I agree with Meek, the propaganda against Meek is strange. And it started with that battle, and at least on social media, the narrative surrounding him never recovered.
However, Meek disagreed with Charlamagne’s response. He says that Charlamagne “spoke as if a battle ended [him].” He also says that Charlamagne is “out of touch.”
“No, you spoke as a battle ended me,” he said in the comments section of social media. I made like 80m since then. Still counting like 2ms on the schedule this month. All rap money, not counting other deals. You’re out of touch; it’s no beef with him, but I hate political bullying. It’s too visible to the average eye now, and I have never been bullied for anything!
