Charlamagne Says Efforts Were Made to Get Jay-Z and Colin Kaepernick to Talk

Charlamagne Tha God says there have been attempts to bring Jay-Z and Colin Kaepernick together for a conversation, including through The Breakfast Club.

According to Charlamagne, people behind the scenes have tried to help facilitate a discussion between the two men following years of public debate surrounding Jay-Z’s partnership with the NFL and Kaepernick’s criticism of the league.

Charlamagne suggested that Jay-Z was open to the idea, saying, “One of the people didn’t want to have conversations — and it wasn’t Jay-Z.”

The comment adds another layer to the long-running conversation surrounding Kaepernick and Jay-Z, whose relationship has remained a major topic in hip-hop and sports culture since Roc Nation entered its partnership with the NFL.

Whether the two will eventually sit down publicly remains unclear, but Charlamagne’s comments suggest efforts have been made to make that conversation happen.
