Charlamagne Tha God has publicly expressed interest in purchasing Dame Dash’s life rights as the Roc-A-Fella co-founder’s bankruptcy proceedings continue to make headlines.
It was recently reported that a trustee overseeing Dash’s bankruptcy filed court documents seeking permission to sell rights connected to his life story. The proposed sale would reportedly include Dash’s voice, image, likeness, biography, identifying characteristics and the right to portray events from his childhood through the date of his bankruptcy filing.
During a recent video posted by The Breakfast Club, Charlamagne made it clear that he would be interested in acquiring those rights.
The conversation came as Dame criticized The Breakfast Club and Loren LoRosa for focusing on negative developments surrounding his financial situation. The show responded in its caption by defending LoRosa’s reporting while noting there was “a lot to unpack” regarding the latest bankruptcy developments.
If approved by the court, the potential sale of Dash’s life rights could open the door for outside parties to develop projects based on his life and career.
🚨 Debit Dash is mad at us again 🙄! Dame publicly voices his frustration with our girl @lorenlorosa over her reporting that his life rights are up for sale, arguing that our coverage has focused too much on the negative. 👀 There’s A LOT to unpack here… Tap in as @lorenlorosa… pic.twitter.com/GJpOzuyGY2
