Over the weekend, rap star Megan Thee Stallion announced her breakup with NBA star Klay Thompson. Citing his infidelity as the reason. And the split has sparked a lot of debate on social media. And radio host Charlamagne the God has offered an interesting perspective on the situation.
Charlamagne Weighs in on Megan & Klay Drama
During the Tuesday (April 28) episode of The Latest With Loren Lorosa, Charlamagne said he didn’t understand why Megan was surprised by Thompson’s infidelity. He also suggested that having “male homeboys” could have helped her avoid the disappointment.
“This is why every woman needs male homeboys. I would’ve told her from the beginning not to get too over somebody like Klay Thompson,” Charlamagne said. “I’m just saying that my advice to her would’ve been, ‘Hey, just don’t get too open until he shows you otherwise. He is an NBA player. He’s still outside.”
The radio host also says that she should not have expected much of a commitment from the four-time NBA Champion. Especially given the fact that they were not married and did not have any children together.
“And by the way, they were not married, they didn’t have kids, they weren’t even together long,” he continued. “I understand her feelings might be hurt, but why are we acting like they were married for 20 years?”

However, fans in the comments section of the post had differing opinions.
“This is a weak take. We all saw how they were together, cooking, playing house with their families,” one user wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“So dam ignorant.. so a mf says trust me I want this, then you supposed to go nah, don’t believe it he got money, and he will cheat,” a second user chimed in.
At the time of writing, Megan has not responded to Charlamagne’s comments.
