Dame Dash revisited Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club last Tuesday (September 16). And it may have been even more explosive than its initial appearance on the morning program in 2015.
Charlemagne Hits Back at Dame Dash Following Viral Interview
During Dame’s appearance on the radio show, host Charlemagne the God had a heated back-and-forth with the former Roc-A-Fella executive. And during their exchange, Dash challenged Charlemagne’s masculinity. Accusing him of being “gay” several times.
During a recent taping of Charlemagne’s Brilliant Idiots podcast, he addressed Dame’s claims. Noting that the “gay” allegations against him aren’t anything new.
“You might be walking up on me saying, ‘I’m gay, that’s been going on since forever,’” Charlemagne said.
He also referred to Dash and his insult as a “Thanksgiving turkey,” accusing him of trying to create a viral moment.
“The reason I call them ‘Thanksgiving turkeys’ [is] ’cause everybody eats off them, and you eat off them for at least a week or two,” he added.

Charlemagne also said that he believes that the main purpose of Dash’s visit to The Breakfast Club was to reaffirm his financial stability. Noting that he “came to prove he’s not broke,” amid claims that he has filed for bankruptcy.
He also believes that Dame cares too much about how people on the internet and social media perceive him.
“He really cares about what the internet says about him,” the radio host added. “Really cares about what other people think about him.”
During Dame’s recent appearance on the morning program, Charlemagne grilled him about a myriad of topics. But things got particularly heated when The Breakfast Club Host brought up that 50 Cent had reportedly acquired the rights to Dame’s 2002 film, Paid in Full. And he believes that particular exchange led to him being defensive throughout the rest of the interview.
“That really, really set him off,” he noted, adding that Dash’s Harlem upbringing has contributed to his ego. “I don’t think there’s anybody on the planet more prideful than people from Harlem.”
