The Chicago Bulls made a major step forward Tuesday evening, drafting UNC standout forward Caleb Wilson with the 4th pick. The fans seemed happy, but they may be even happier to hear Wilson already appreciates Chicago rap culture.

Who Is Caleb Wilson’s Favorite Rapper?

In a press conference, Wilson revealed that he has a lot of appreciation for Chicago’s rap culture, specifically, a 2010s innovator.

“My favorite rapper’s from Chicago, his name is Lucki.” Wilson said. “I love him. I’ve listened to him for a long time so that’ll also be exciting.

In another video, Wilson was asked who he’d want to sit courtside with prior to the draft. Before even knowing he would become a Bull, he chose Lucki. The pioneering rapper caught word of this, posting Wilson three times on his story. It’s safe to say that courtside linkup may come sooner than later.

Who Is Caleb Wilson?

The star freshman forward for UNC terrorized the ACC conference early in the season, averaging 19.8 points per game, almost a double double on the boards, and 3 steals and blocks combined per game. His promising college career came to an abrupt end when he broke his right thumb during practice prior to the NCAA Tournament. He was unable to return, leading to UNC getting bounced in the opening game against VCU.

He comes to Chicago as one of the top prospects in a loaded draft class that features Cameron Boozer, Darryn Peterson, Darius Acuiff, and the crown jewel, AJ Dybansta.
