Chris Brown just dodged a major legal bullet after civil lawsuit with producer Abe Diaw was officially dropped.
According to court docs filed in L.A. County, Diaw asked for the case to be dismissed with prejudice, meaning he can’t double back and refile it later. It’s a wrap. No word yet on whether money exchanged hands, but with both sides staying quiet, it’s safe to assume a settlement might’ve gone down behind closed doors.
But before you think Breezy’s in the clear, hold up—his legal troubles overseas are still very much in play.
Back in May, Chris Brown was arrested by London police in connection to a 2023 nightclub incident, where he’s accused of beating a producer with a bottle. He pleaded not guilty last month and is currently out on bail. The criminal case in the U.K. is still active, and it’s not something he can brush off.
That said, the “Sensational” hitmaker *has* been allowed to keep his tour moving. He’s wrapping up the European leg in Paris on July 5, and he’s set to make his big U.S. return on July 30 in Miami.
So yeah—Chris just cleared one case, but the heat’s not off yet.
