Chrisean Rock officially began her professional boxing career with a victory Saturday night in Baltimore, defeating Ku’Shiyah Williams by second-round TKO.
Competing under her legal name, Chrisean Malone, and using the nickname “Holy Hands,” Rock controlled the action early and overwhelmed Williams before the fight was stopped in the second round. The win moves her professional record to 1-0.
Rock has previously participated in crossover and celebrity-style boxing events, but this bout marked her first officially recognized professional victory.
She has been training with Calvin Ford, the longtime trainer of boxing star Gervonta Davis, as she works to make a more serious transition into the sport.
Following the win, Rock has indicated that boxing is more than a one-off opportunity for her and that she plans to continue developing as a professional fighter.
