The ESPYs are bringing serious heat to the Dolby Theatre stage this year. Organizers have announced that rap legends Busta Rhymes, newly reunited duo Clipse, and basketball player-turned-rapper LiAngelo Ball — aka GELO — will all perform during the 2025 ESPY Awards on Wednesday, July 16, in Los Angeles.
One name already sparking buzz: Clipse. Brothers Pusha T and Malice recently made their official return with Let God Sort Em Out, their first album in nearly 16 years. The project marks not just a musical comeback, but the end of Malice’s long-standing retirement from the industry.
During Clipse’s hiatus, Pusha T built his own solo empire, closely linked with Kanye West and GOOD Music. Malice, watching from the sidelines, admitted there were moments he missed being in the mix.
“I’d see him out, and I just felt like he was surrounded by things that weren’t what he was used to,” Malice shared. “We were always around loyalty and genuine people. I knew he could handle it, but if there was anything I missed, it was just being right there with him.”
Now, with both brothers back onstage and on record, the ESPYs set promises to be one for the books.
The 2025 ESPYs will be broadcast on Wednesday (July 16) and air live on ABC at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT. The show will also stream on ESPN+ in pattern with ABC airings across time zones. The ESPYS will also be available to stream on-demand the next day on Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+.
