Coi Leray has gotten into much beef over her time. While speaking to Jason Lee, she detailed one of her most notable disputes: her feud with Latto.
However, Leray says people got it twisted.
The bad blood began when Latto mentioned Coi Leray’s body on a song, leading to Leray telling Angie Martinez she wasn’t cool with that. During the interview, Leray made it clear that she felt uncomfortable with the specific mention of her body in Latto’s song. “Nobody should be mentioning my body,” she asserted, calling for unity with Black women in the industry.
Then, rumors surfaced that Latto and Coi came to blows after a hair stylist influencer alleged a brawl too place.
But now, Leray set the record straight, making it clear she didn’t fight Latto, instead, it was her sister, Brooklyn.
“I don’t want to be f***** with,” Leray said. “I don’t want nobody to say my name. Don’t use my name for clickbait and for clout and to create rap beef that I’m not in. One thing led to another. Me and [Latto’s sister] Brooklyn fought behind the scenes. It was a whole thing. A whole fistfight. I done refractured my knee and everything…She was defending her sister. She swung on me. Me, I was defending myself.”
Later in the interview, she said the beef was squashed after reaching out to Latto while she was pregnant.
