Nicki Minaj may have found another ally. In her fight against Roc Nation, its founder, Jay-Z, and their President, Desiree Perez. That being media personality Nessa Diab, who also happens to be the partner of former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick.
Colin Kaepernick’s Partner Goes Scorched Earth on The NFL
In a firestorm of Tweets on Wednesday, July 17, Diab aligns herself with Minaj. As she notes, the Pink Friday creator is “exposing the smear campaign tactics” of the organization. She also alleges that Kaepernick received similar treatment from the company.
“[Nicki Minaj] exposing the smear campaign tactics. What Jay Z, Roc Nation, Desiree Perez did to her behind the scenes is VERY similar to what I was told they did to @Kaepernick7,” Diab wrote on Twitter. “ Jay purposely co-opted Colin’s protest by siding with the NFL to help ‘their image.’ After they blackballed Colin for his protest.”
Diab Says Jay-Z Took Millions in Bribes
But her accusations against Jay-Z, Roc Nation, and Desiree Perez don’t stop there. Diab also alleges that during the height of Kaepernick’s protest of the national anthem around 2016, Jay-Z was working against the former San Fransico 49ers QB. Diab alleges that Jay-Z and Roc Nation took $5 million over five years. As part of an agreement to “bury” Kaepernick’s “growing protest,” before he was eventually eliminated from the NFL.
“Roc Nation apparently took 5 million a year over 5 years to bury the growing protest,” she added. “AND specifically help them ‘move beyond the controversy around teams’ unwillingness to sign Kaepernick.’”
Nicki Minaj also has claimed that she is owed a large lump sum of money from the powerful entity.
She alleges that the Roc Nation Founder owes her “about $100 – $200 million” over lost wages.
“We’ve calculated about 100-200MM so far. #JayZ call me to settle this karmic debt. It’s only collecting more interest. You’re still in my TOP 5 tho,” Minaj wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter on July 8. “Let’s get it n***a. And anyone still calling him Hov will answer to God for the blasphemy.”
So far, Jay-Z has yet to respond to any of the allegations.
