It’s been a little over a week since Drake dropped his ninth studio album, Iceman. But the buzz has only grown since its release. And the streets are still talking.
Drake addressed several things on his album, including his relationship with LeBron James.
In one of the new tracks titled Make Them Remember he calls out the Los Angeles Lakers for his attendance at Kendrick Lamar’s 2024 pop-up concert.
“I shouldn’t even be shocked to see you in that arena. Because you always made your career off of switching teams up,” he raps on the song.
He also publicly confirms that he and LeBron are no longer on speaking terms.
“Please stop asking about what’s goin’ on with 23 and me. I’m a real n***a, and he’s not, it’s in my DNA,” he adds.
Eddie Griffin Clowns Drake Over Beef With LeBron
While many people have felt that Drake’s shot at LeBron was justified, comedian Eddie Griffin feels differently.
During a recent episode of his NNN podcast, Griffin admitted that he has not listened to Drake’s new album. But he has heard the ramblings about Drizzy aiming at the former NBA MVP. And called him out for being “sensitive” about the entire ordeal.
“The ice-melting man is said to have a song clowning LeBron James because LeBron James took a picture on the sidelines with Kendrick Lamar after he took a picture with Drake. You’re so sensitive,” Griffin said. “He took a picture with your enemy. I didn’t know y’all were dating. That sounds like a b***h to me… You sensitive-a** mo*********r… It’s over, Drake. It’s over. Just take your owl a** and travel in the dark. Quietly. ‘Cause owls, they move quietly. You’re too loud to be a real owl.”
LeBron has not publicly commented on Drake aiming at him on the album.
