New details have emerged in the murder trial of singer D4VD (born David Anthony Burke). And they are brutal to say the least.
Gruesome Details Emerge in D4VD, Celeste Rivas Trial
Earlier this month, the singer was arrested in connection with the 2025 murder of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas. On Wednesday (April 29), new court documents obtained by the Associated Press gave a more detailed account of the teen’s untimely death.
Rivas met the singer when she was just 11 years old. And they began a romantic relationship when she was 13, and Burke was 18 years old.
According to a post shared by Kurrco on X, investigators obtained messages between Rivas and D4VD. This showed that she began to get jealous of the singer’s other relationships. And threatened to go public about their relationship, which would have obviously jeopardized his lucrative singing career.
“The messages reveal the victim’s jealousy over defendant’s relationships with other women. As defendant led her to believe they had a future together,” prosecutors said. “She became extremely upset and threatened to disclose damaging information about her relationship with the defendant to end his career and destroy his life.”
After she threatened to go public, D4VD invited her to his home. And stabbed her multiple times and watched her lifeless body bleed out.
“Knowing he had to silence the victim before she ruined his music career as she had threatened,” prosecutors added. “Very soon after she arrived at his home, defendant stabbed the victim to death multiple times and stood by while she bled out.”
Prosecutors say D4vd stabbed 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez to death to silence her, according to newly revealed court filing details:

The murder also appears to be premeditated, as they have financial records of D4VD ordering two chainsaws, which they believe he used to dismember her body. And a burn cage, which they believe he used to try to get rid of her remains.
Prosecutors have not ruled out the death penalty as a punishment should the singer be found guilty.
