Earlier this month, singer D4VD (born David Anthony Burke) was arrested and charged with the 2025 murder of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas. The feds have alleged that D4VD killed Rivas with a “sharp object” for financial gain. Because his romantic relationship with Rivas, a minor, put his lucrative music career in jeopardy.
D4VD’s Brother Speaks Out Following Arrest
Following his arrest, D4VD’s brother, Caleb Burke, broke his silence. He appeared to hint at the singer getting the death penalty in his case.
“All pedophiles and r-pists should die. Period,” he wrote in a post caught by FearedBuck on X on Saturday (April 25).

Users in the comments section stood in agreement with the singer’s brother.
“You really know you’re beyond cooked when even your family wants you eliminated,” one user wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“Typing this out must have been a bitter pill to swallow,” a second user chimed in.
“That’s how a good brother should behave. He put humanity first before his despicable brother,” a third person added.
To bring things up to speed, Rivas’ body was found dismembered inside a Tesla registered to D4VD in September 2025. The vehicle was abandoned in Hollywood Hills, California, before being towed to a nearby impound lot. After receiving several reports of a strange smell coming from the vehicle, police were called and discovered Rivas’ decomposing body.
Following his arrest, Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman announced that the singer was officially charged with first-degree murder with special circumstances. And said that the charges “include the most serious charges that a DA’s office can bring.” If he is convicted, Burke could face the death penalty.
