Rap artist DaBaby has never been short on confidence. And his comments during a recent interview have caused a stir on social media.
DaBaby Declares Himself The Best Rapper Alive
During a one-on-one with Apple Music, media personality Nadeska referenced the rapper’s past comments where he said that he should be in the conversation for best rapper alive with Kendrick Lamar, Drake, and J.Cole. And he reaffirmed that he still feels that way. He also says that he has felt that way since the beginning of his music career.
“You can go back to when I first started. I always said like .. I’m the best mu*******n rapper. You know I’ve been saying it. And I often say it like when I’m doing my freestyles or whatever .. but I definitely do mean that,” he said in a clip shared by Kurrco on X. “And of course I feel like everybody should feel like they’re the best, but I’m not talking like that when I say that I’m better than these n****s, I really mean that. I really feel like I can go anywhere musically.”
However, DaBaby also made it clear that he doesn’t have beef with any of the members of hip-hop’s Big 3. In fact, he says that he has hopes of working with them in the future. But he knows that for that to become a reality, he has to show that he has the confidence and skillset to be in the same room with them.
“I would love to work with these guys,” he added. “It takes me saying that type of s**t, and putting it on display with the music, putting the music out, for these doors to open up for me to end up in the same rooms with these guys and on the records with these guys.
