Former music executive Dame Dash has finally responded to Cam’ron’s recent comments.
This comes after an episode of Cam’s Talk With Flee podcast earlier this year. During the podcast Cam’ron relived when he went on the radio and revealed that Dame Dash had told him that he would soon be President of Roc-A-Fella.
Dame Dash Goes Scorched Earth on Cam’ron
Cam’ron laughed about the entire ordeal on his podcast, but Dame Dash did not see the humor in it. During a recent appearance on the America Nu Network, Dash called out Cam’ron for his immaturity at the time. And talked about how the decision led to internal tension between him and Jay-Z and the ultimate implosion of the label.
“Where I’m from, it’s really not thorough to have a really private conversation and go to the radio and tell everybody before everybody else knows,” Dame said via Art of Dialogue.
“I just thought you were young. And I didn’t even let you know, but I think you know how many problems those mistakes you made caused.”
Dame Dash says Cam’ron hasn’t had a hit since Roc-A-Fella and claims Cam’ron’s announcement about becoming label president sparked problems that contributed to Roc-A-Fella’s downfall.

He also ripped Cam for not doing anything to rectify his mistake, which led to the ultimate downfall of the music label.
“And you never said anything to correct it, and now you’re saying something about the presidency which is not true,” he added. “Sitting with people whom you used to disrespect daily, at least that’s what I used to see. Laughing about the fact that you misspoke and not knowing how much damage you caused to Roc-A-Fella. And it’s all because of a conversation that we had that you made public.”
Dame Dash goes on to say that he never told Cam’ron that he would be president of the record label. But rather he would be in charge of Dipset. And after reading contracts from Cam’ron’s lawyers, where he requested $750,000 to complete the deal, he was ready to nix the entire idea.
He also criticized Cam’ron’s career post Roc-A-Fella. Noting that he hasn’t made a hit since the label’s implosion.
Cam’ron has yet to offer a response
